Accredited Maritime Products
All our life raft service technicians are trained and accredited by the life raft manufacturers and must undertake reaccreditation training and testing every two years at the Manufacturers training facilities. Our staff have in-depth knowledge of compliance standards for LSA and are also qualified to handle and transport pyrotechnics (2kg casing) (marine transport only).
We are the only company offering life raft servicing in two key locations – Port Moresby and Rabaul – and speedy delivery within six hours of your LSA purchases anywhere in the country.

Marine+Aero provides mandatory safety equipment LSA (Life Saving Appliances) and life raft servicing that is accredited by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). As a business, Marine+Aero is also fully accredited by PNG’s National Maritime Safety Authority (NMSA) to the standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
• Authorised sales representative and accredited servicing agent for four major life raft manufacturers: Shanghai Youlong, Sea Air Life Rafts, CSM Life Rafts and Jiangsu Haining Rafts.
• Authorised sales representative and accredited servicing agent for a range of manufacturers of other mandatory maritime safety equipment, including: Hammer (hydrostatic release units); Pains Wessex (distress flares); 150N degrees North (inflatable life jackets).
• We always keep more than 500 LSA items (including spare parts) in stock, resulting in an off the shelf delivery service.
A Company Established To Meet An Urgent Need
Marine+Aero was established in 2014 by Rory Stewart, a long-time maritime industry professional who was finding it increasingly difficult and prohibitively expensive to get life rafts competently serviced in PNG. Seeing an opportunity, Rory established Marine+Aero as the only PNG company whose core focus is on LSA supply and servicing.
He established authorised seller and servicing agent relationships with leading suppliers and committed to the cost of the regular international training required to maintain his service technicians’ accreditations.
Since its establishment, Marine+Aero has gained the market’s support and grown quickly to become the largest business in life raft servicing and LSA supply in PNG. To the start of 2020 it had serviced more than 1000 life rafts and this was continuing at a rate of more than 300 a year and rising. The business also continues to grow in line with customers’ expressed needs, such as adding fire protection systems and electronic products to its range.
